Candi Gedong Songo in Semarang

Candi Gedong Songo located on the slopes of Mount Ungaran, precisely at District Ambarawa, Semarang regency and temple complex was built in the 9th century AD. This area has beautiful natural scenery. Around the site there is also a neat pine forests and springs that contain sulfur. The temple has similarities with Dieng temple complex in Wonosobo. The temple is situated at an altitude of about 1,200 m above sea level.

To go to Gedong I, we had to walk as far as 200 meters away through the path going up. You can use horse transport services for sightseeing attractions around the Candi Gedong songo.

On the sidelines of the Candi Gedong III to Gedong IV, there is a mountain kepunden as a source of hot water with a high sulfur content. The tourists can bathe in there to keep warm in a bathhouse built near the kepunden. Because of its beauty Candi Gedong Songo is often a wonderful place to take any pictures, traveled with family, pre wedding, and many more.

I hope that you do not throw litter in there, to keep the environment is still beautiful.
